Tamar Valley Film Festival
Star Rae Productions is a Tasmanian film and theatre production company dedicated to bringing bold, authentic stories to life. Founded and led by Racheal Leigh, the company is currently focused on the writing and production of original vertical dramas — short-form screen content crafted for today's audiences and tomorrow's platforms.
At the heart of Star Rae Productions' community work is the Tamar Valley Film Festival — an annual celebration of Tasmanian screen storytelling held each May in Launceston. Now in its second year, TVFF showcases films made by Tasmanian creatives across two curated evenings, alongside professional development workshops designed to support and grow the state's screen industry talent. The 2026 festival takes place on 29–30 May at the School of the Arts, Invermay, and is proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania and Screen Tasmania.
